Eating on the couch is one of life’s sweetest pleasures. Why wouldn’t we want to enjoy a snack while watching TV? Sure, it might leave crumbs or the occasional stain, but that’s what vacuums and wet wipes are for. Our millennial green velvet couch can handle it—and so can we!
I Let My Kid Draw on the Walls
Before you think I’m crazy, hear me out! I do limit it to certain walls and pieces of furniture. Our home is our sanctuary, a space for us to feel comfortable and express ourselves. A little creative freedom on the walls makes the house feel more like our home.
I Don’t Force Outside Time

But one constant is the sun, and while I know sunlight is important, I’m more concerned about taking care of our skin. If my little one is happy being indoors, crafting or playing creatively, that’s fine by me. Of course, as soon as “outside” is mentioned, we’re usually out the door in a flash.
