Peter Tullett Memorial Park Spring Mountain

Nestled in the quiet streets of Spring Mountain is the Peter Tullett Memorial Park. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Australia, it is the perfect place for parents to bring their kids for play and even some birdwatching.

The park is in memory of Peter Tullett, who sadly passed away in 2017.

The Playground

For adventurous children, the climbing frame offers an exciting challenge. They can climb up three levels via a rope to reach the top, where they’ll enjoy a lovely lookout over the playground before descending to tackle the rope bridge leading to the slide.

The park features two different-sized slides suitable for older and younger children. The ground area is covered with both soft play material and wood chips. There is also a basket swing nearby, along with three white spotted eggs for children to explore.

The flora and fauna provide great hiding spots for kids who enjoy games of hide-and-seek.

Hiking Trails

Peter Tullett Memorial Park has access to the White Rock – Spring Mountain Conservation Estate, making it an excellent spot for those who love hiking and exploring nature.

Bird Watching And Bird Songs

Along the gravel trail, you’ll find information boards about some of the birds that inhabit the area. If you stop and listen, you can hear the songs of birds and insects, creating a wonderful opportunity to discuss wildlife with the kids.

It’s worth noting that, since the park is near many trees and water sources, insect repellent is a must, as we did see some march flies hovering around.

The shaded areas are particularly beneficial, especially over the metal slides that tend to heat up during the Australian summer.

Kids can see giant eggs and follow the footprints of birds to their nesting and brooding areas.
